The result of careful documentation, cataloging, and reorganization, the volume The Collection of Etruscan Coins at the National Archaeological Museum of Siena by Debora Barbagli and Marco De Benetti retraces the events that led to the formation of the coin collection of the National Archaeological Museum, highlighting the various source groups, starting from the collections of the Accademia dei Fisiocritici and the Public Library of Siena. The research also made it possible to recover important information about the findspots related to the territory of Siena and the surrounding areas.
The volume was produced by the Antico Ospedale Santa Maria della Scala Foundation with the contribution of the Directorate-General for Education, Research, and Cultural Institutions of the Ministry of Culture.
