On the occasion of the fifth edition of Migrant Voices Festival, the Giuliano Briganti Library and Photo Archive hosts from October 24 to 31 the work Oh Good! by the artist Moustapha Cessay, created as part of the project The Digital Suitcases.

The installation, inspired by the song Antassalam by Maher Zain, it stems from Cessay's personal journey, who, during his trip from Gambia to Europe, found comfort precisely in that music: “I listened to it during the journey that brought me to Italy, when everything seemed difficult, and I still listen to it today to give myself peace and to feel good,” the artist says.

In the work, the artist has hand-transcribed some lines of the track, translating them into Mandinka and Italian, accompanied by an audio file that allows visitors to listen to the song through an MP3 player with headphones.

The Migrant Voices Festival, conceived by VersoLab ASP in collaboration with the Corte dei Miracoli, has been promoting since 2020 the artistic and narrative expressions of citizens of foreign origin, offering an open, inclusive and participatory space. This edition has "home" as its central theme and this year extends to various locations around the city, including Santa Maria della Scala, which hosts this significant installation.
