Level IV - Floor 1 from the Piazza Duomo entrance

The Collection of the Children's Art Museum, inaugurated in 2008, gathers works from multiple countries around the world dedicated to, or directed by the artists' intention toward, childhood. The internationalism of the works follows the principle of territories' fluid boundaries and the inclusivity made possible through art. It presents a wide range of artistic expressions, from sculpture to painting on canvas or panel, from photography and video to installation. What unites the works are the themes of Fairy Tale/Fable, Portrait, and Family. Within these themes, diverse authors from various historical periods coexist, thus allowing a reading in which time is not paced by chronology but by the quality of representation, enabling an alignment of values.
