Monday, September 14th, the Fondazione Antico Ospedale Santa Maria della Scala is organizing a training day and workshop titled "Musei accessibili: autismi, arte e archeologia" aimed at museum educators, educators specialized in autism and local associations.

The initiative is promoted as part of the project "Art for all: liberi di sperimentare" funded by the "Vie d'uscite culturali 2025-2026" call from the Fondazione Monte dei Paschi di Siena, together with Tabit - Cooperativa Sociale Ets, the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Siena, Fondazione Musei Senesi, Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Senese, Società della Salute Senese, and the Municipality of Colle di Val d'Elsa.

The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Museo Civico e Diocesano d'Arte Sacra "San Pietro" and the Museo Archeologico of Colle di Val d'Elsa. Following opening remarks from Daniele Tozzi (Councillor for Cultural Welfare and Culture of the Municipality of Colle di Val d'Elsa), Giacomo Baldini (Director of the Civic Museums of Colle di Val d'Elsa), and Chiara Valdambrini (Director of the Fondazione Antico Ospedale Santa Maria della Scala), a series of talks will follow from experts in the museum, academic, and healthcare fields, sharing experiences and tools useful for creating accessible museum pathways for people with autism spectrum disorder.
